If you've ever been a winner,
Then you know how sweet it is
To wear the victors' laurels like a
crown;
To stand up on a pedestal,
The world spread at your feet,
Admiring eyes look up as you gaze
down.
Cherish moments such as this.
They're few and far between,
And we mere mortals seldom get the
chance
To ride upon the crest
Of such enduring adulation,
To be the center in the victor’s dance.
