Heartstrings grow longer,
Emotions
run stronger,
Passing
along every Saturday smile.
Feeding
the hunger,
Singing
a song or a
Nursery
rhyme pulled from a forgotten file.
Gender's
no matter,
Nor
thinner, nor fatter,
The
clatter and chattering need not make sense.
The
needed response in the
Wide-eyes
of wonder contain
All
the joy of required recompense.
The
innocence born to
The
nature of humans,
The
sweet gentle creed
Of
the meek and the mild,
The
awe and the wonder
Of
worlds undiscovered,
Uniquely
in place
In
the face of a child.
