Rescued fair from sleepless nights
Conscience
calm and fears abated,
Knowing
well the guilt of falsehood
Does
not camp about my door.
No
one stands as my accuser.
None
may speak of ill-repute
Or
dare defame my unsullied name
And
paint the blame upon my floor.
Having
carved a reputation
Years
on years of speaking true,
Never
thinking consequences,
Treating
all as equal brothers,
One
thing rests above all else,
The
most important point of all;
I
keep my vigil
To
be honest
Both
to myself
And
others.
